I am super sorry for today’s post title, but its what so many people feel, myself included. When I were living in North Devon I had weekly support, since moving to Cornwall I have seen one person and that was back in August.
The NHS / Mental Health services don’t understand people who like myself have a hard enough time with daily life, the normal stuff that others take for granted, its not just mental but physical health for me personally, in question here making a telephone call is very hard work, Ive had to make myself get better at using the phone else I wont be heard. Even now they still try and call me, tell me to try harder, im neurodiverse I cant help it.
Take this morning I contacted my GP via e-consult, checked the NHS App and my details were being passed to the duty Dr to give me a call, no one has, so went out to the shop and had a walk home, was swerving all over the pavement as am severly hung over – tooth pain is unberable, so I called the Cornwall MH line and wasnt able to get through, so I then called 111 and again was on hold for a long time, so went through the NHS website for a call back, sat here trying to stay awake and I get a text to call the mental health support line…. but they wont answer even when they do they are next to useless. – sadly the local police and paramedics say the same.
