I don’t want to appear aggressive, but getting support is so hard especially with the NHS in Cornwall where I am.
Over the last 24 months I have been told by ambulance crew its those that shout the loudest that get the support. – Tho apparently not literally.
Now if I were to visit Derriford Hospital and shout out – id be chucked out by security, if I were to start shouting with paramedics here they would call the Police who would then handcuff me and take me to the hospital on a 136 if I was lucky. – but probally not. – I dont know how ill you have to be to get into a mental hospital but it shouldnt be that hard.
Yet we’re told to call our Drs Surgery, 111, Shout etc etc and when we do no one answers our pleas for help, like now ive been waiting for nearly an hour for someone to come onto the chat at The Samaritans even know it says there is a 5 to 10 minute wait and nothing.
Theres lots of us who need support and help but when we ask for that help, often at very challenging times in our life, marriage break downs, people dying, the cost of living etc – Instead of getting that promised help and support, we are made to feel even worse for basically begging for the right to have mental health support, we cant help being poorly, our minds are not thinking properly.
I hate it when i hear of so many people, celebrities etc too who have taken their own life, if those who are famous cant get support, what chance have we got ? Not very much.
Please like, comment and share we need to be more open about mental health in this County and Country.
